WHAT IS PAINTLESS DENT REPAIR?

Paintless dent repair or removal, is also referred as, PDR. The process of removing small dents and dings from a cars steel or aluminum panels.  

Paint-“less”, or not requiring a more invasive body shop repair, keeps your cars original factory paint finish intact.  An original factory finish helps maintain a cars value.

HOW MUCH DOES PAINTLESS DENT REPAIR COST?

Prices start at $175 per panel, and vary depending on severity and location of the dent.

WHAT CAN PAINTLESS DENT REPAIR FIX?

PDR is used to fix minor dents, ideally when the paint is not damaged.  Dents with paint damage, or paint chips can be fixed.  However, Paint-“less” dent repair, does NOT include painting or repairing paint damages (chips, scratches etc.) in dents.  Larger dents, a few inches in diameter, or length are also possible.

The usual applications include:

• Hail damage

• Parking lot door dings

• Shopping cart damage

• Body line dents/damage

WHAT CAN’T BE FIXED WITH PAINTLESS DENT REPAIR?

Not all damage can be repaired with PDR.  Depending on the extent of the impact some damage may not be repairable.  Deeper, sharp dents that stretch the metal too much, may not repair properly. 

HOW DOES PAINTLESS DENT REPAIR WORK?

The process of PDR is requires proper dent repair tools, and reflecting lights into the dent, to locate the highs and lows of the dent.  Most importantly, a skilled Dent Specialist technician with time and patience.  

Technicians will gain access to the back of the damaged panel with a selected tool.  Then find or create leverage for the tool to apply pressure.  Technician will notice how the metal reacts with each push, and apply the appropriate pressure.  Adjust accordingly, and continually finesse and massage the metal back to its neutral form.
